Shipping Information
We aim to dispatch all sourdough starter orders as quickly as possible so you can begin your baking journey without delay.
In most cases, orders are packed and shipped within 1 business day (subject to stock availability). During peak periods, this may occasionally take slightly longer, but we always prioritise fast fulfilment.
Where We Ship
We ship Australia-wide and also offer international shipping to selected countries.
Delivery Options
All orders are shipped from our Melbourne warehouse via Australia Post.
Orders can be delivered via:
Free Untracked Delivery (Letter Post)
Your starter is shipped in secure padded packaging via Australia Post letter post. This option is included free with all starter orders.
Tracked Delivery (Australia Post)
For full visibility and peace of mind, tracked shipping is available for a small additional fee.
Free Tracked Shipping (Orders over $100 AUD)
All orders over $100 AUD automatically receive free tracked delivery.
Delivery Timeframes
Once dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email. Delivery times vary depending on your location and are based on standard Australia Post estimates (typically 1–5 business days within Australia).
Delays & Issues
Once your order has been handed over to Australia Post, delivery timeframes are outside of our control. Occasionally delays may occur due to high parcel volumes, weather events, or carrier disruptions.
If your order appears delayed or has not arrived within a reasonable timeframe, please contact us and we will assist in investigating the issue.
Lost or Missing Packages
If your parcel is marked as delivered but cannot be located, or is believed to be lost in transit, please contact us at support@theheritagegrain.com.au.
We will work with Australia Post to investigate and resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Damaged Orders
If your order arrives damaged, please take photos of the packaging and product and send them to us so we can assess the issue and arrange a replacement where appropriate.
